Bobi Wine’s Brother Calls Out Bebe Cool

Updates:Ivan Bugembe, popularly known as Dax Vibez, a younger brother to Bobi Wine, has publicly asked Moses Ssali, famously known as Bebe Cool, to honor his promise.

The Gagamel boss pledged to gift houses to top performers on his annual list, but Dax Vibez says he hasn’t received anything.

Bebe Cool’s 2022 Promise

In 2022, Bebe Cool announced a plan to reward outstanding artists by buying land and constructing houses for them.

He stated that the gifts, including land titles, would be handed over by President Museveni every year starting in 2024.

The promise created excitement among artists, as it seemed like a game-changer in Uganda’s entertainment industry.

However, the lack of fulfillment has sparked criticism.

Dax Vibez’s Demand for His House

Dax Vibez secured third place on Bebe Cool’s 2023 list of best performers following the success of his collaboration with Vinka on the hit song Believe.

Since the start of 2024, he has repeatedly reminded Bebe Cool of the promise.

“I want Bebe Cool to give me the house he promised me last year. He said anyone who appears on the Bebe Cool list will be gifted.

Unfortunately, I have never received anything. I think it is good that I remind him because this year is also about to end,” Dax Vibez said during an interview.

Would Dax Vibez Collaborate with Bebe Cool?

When asked if he would collaborate with Bebe Cool musically, Dax Vibez had a clear condition: the Gagamel boss must first fulfill his promise.

Unfulfilled Promises in the Past

This isn’t the first time Bebe Cool has faced criticism for unfulfilled promises.

In 2019, he pledged to reward top performers with Shs5 million each, free video shoots, and audio recordings fully paid by Gagamel Records.

However, no artist has confirmed receiving these rewards to date.

Bebe Cool Yet to Respond

As of now, Bebe Cool has not responded to Dax Vibez’s demands. Fans and artists are eagerly waiting to see if the Gagamel boss will address the situation.

The promise of rewarding artists is commendable, but unfulfilled commitments can tarnish one’s reputation in the entertainment industry.

As the year comes to an end, all eyes are on Bebe Cool to see if he will honor his word to Dax Vibez and other artists on his list.
