UNEB Increases Fees for Unregistered 2024 Final Exam Students.

“UNEB has increased the fees for students who have not yet registered for the 2024 final examinations”.
The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has doubled the fees for students to register for the 2024 finals.
UNEB said students who used to pay UGX 34,000 at the PLE level will now pay 68,000 sh.
S.4 students who have been paying 164,000 shs for S.4 will pay 328,000 shs.
S.6 students who have been paying UGX 184,000 will pay 368,000 sh in registration for the exams.
The first UNEB registration deadline expired on 31 May, and 30 June,2024, while the remaining ones have also been given a deadline of 31 July,2024.
UNEB spokesperson Jennifer Kalule Musamba said as of today, 1,31,756 students have registered for the 2024 examinations at all levels.
UNEB will conduct four examinations this year, with fourth senior students conducting two examinations including those in the new curriculum and those in the old curriculum.
Kalule Musamba said compared to the number of students enrolled in 2024, and 2023, they have increased by 7%, compared to 1,224,371 last year.
There are 798,188 students registered for the PLE, 377,932 for S.4 and 141,640 for S.
Kalule said girls are doing 56% and boys are doing 44% in this year’s exams while the number of seats has increased by 9,804 centers.
