Money Lost in Wrong Ways: Central Bank of Uganda Clarifies

Breaking:The Central Bank of Uganda (CBN) has addressed concerns regarding reports of money lost in unclear circumstances.

In a recent statement, the bank reassured the public of ongoing investigations into the matter and its commitment to transparency.

Central Bank of Uganda Launches Investigation

Kenneth Egesa, the Communications Officer of the Central Bank, confirmed that an investigation into the alleged financial irregularities is underway.

The bank is actively working with the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) and other relevant agencies to uncover the facts behind the issue.

Collaboration with Law Enforcement Agencies

Nevertheless,to ensure a thorough and credible investigation, the Central Bank has partnered with key stakeholders, including law enforcement agencies.
This collaborative effort aims to bring clarity and accountability to the situation.

Findings to Be Communicated to the Public

Therefore Egesa assured the public that the findings of the investigation will be communicated transparently.

He emphasized that updates will be shared as soon as the investigation is completed, demonstrating the bank’s dedication to accountability and public trust.

The Central Bank of Uganda reaffirmed its role in safeguarding the country’s financial stability and maintaining integrity in its operations.

It urged the public to remain patient as the investigation progresses.
