Update:The National Unity Platform (NUP) has turned on a series of nationwide tours aimed at mobilizing and energizing their supporters.
With the 2026 elections in view, the NUP, under the leadership of Bobi Wine, is focused on building trust and preparing for a strong challenge against the ruling regime led by President Museveni.
Campaign Highlights in Kisoro
Yesterday, NUP’s president, Bobi Wine, and other party leaders visited Kisoro to rally support for their candidate, Sultan Tana.
The event saw significant turnout and enthusiasm from the locals, showcasing the party’s growing influence in the region
In contrast, President Museveni, who was also in Kisoro campaigning for Kabagyeni, drew noticeably fewer supporters, as seen in shared images.
Upcoming Visits to Buikwe and Nakasongola
The NUP continues its tour with a planned visit to Buikwe tomorrow, followed by a rally in Nakasongola on Friday.
These gatherings will carry the party’s revolutionary message and call for unity as they gear up for 2026.
Postponement of Gulu Visit
Due to logistical issues, including the continued closure of the Karuma Bridge and the poor state of alternative routes, NUP has postponed its visit to Gulu.
The party will announce a new date for this visit in the future to ensure their message reaches supporters safely and effectively.
Next Week’s Tour Schedule
Looking ahead, NUP plans to extend their outreach to the following districts:
Masindi
Pakwach
Koboko
Madi-Okollo
These visits are part of the broader campaign strategy to maintain momentum and spread the party’s vision for change.
The NUP’s nationwide tours reflect their commitment to building grassroots support and maintaining visibility across Uganda.
With each visit, they strengthen their presence and prepare for the significant challenge of the 2026 elections.
