Museveni Welcomes Six New Ambassadors to Uganda.

President Yoweri Museveni has officially received credentials from six newly accredited Ambassadors and High Commissioners in Uganda. The ceremony took place this afternoon at State House, Entebbe, where the Ambassadors presented their credentials to the President.
The new Ambassadors include H.E. Sasayama Takuya, the Japanese Ambassador to Uganda; H.E. Mr. Mohammad Khalil E. Faroudah, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Uganda; H.E. Mr. Miroslaw Gojdz, the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland; H.E. Mrs. Jenny Da Rin, the Australian Ambassador to Uganda; H.E. Mr. Mohammed Mutair, the Qatar Ambassador to Uganda; and H.E. Ruzaimi Mohamad, the Malaysian Ambassador to Uganda.
In his meeting with H.E. Sasayama Takuya, President Museveni expressed his gratitude to Japan for its collaborative efforts, particularly in infrastructure development. He highlighted significant projects such as the construction of a bridge across the Nile and a road in northern Uganda. Ambassador Sasayama reciprocated the warm sentiments and committed to further strengthening bilateral cooperation, especially in attracting Japanese investment to Uganda. Japan and Uganda have enjoyed robust economic relations through various joint projects and programs.
Ambassador Mohammed Bin Khalil Faroudah of the Royal Kingdom of Saudi Arabia conveyed his king’s best wishes to President Museveni. He praised the Ugandan leader and pledged to enhance the bilateral ties between their countries. President Museveni encouraged Saudi Arabian companies to invest in Uganda, emphasizing the nation’s promising business potential.
H.E. Miroslaw Gojdz, the Polish Ambassador, also presented his credentials, and President Museveni expressed optimism about forging strong bilateral relations with Poland.
The Australian Ambassador, H.E. Mrs. Jenny Da Rin, discussed building a robust relationship between Uganda and Australia, focusing on trade, investment, and tourism. Both parties showed keen interest in strengthening these areas for mutual benefit.
H.E. Mohammed Mutair, the Ambassador of Qatar, expressed his pleasure in being in Uganda and promised to boost the already established relations between the two countries. He pointed out agriculture as a key area for cooperation. President Museveni urged Qatari companies to invest in Uganda, particularly in agricultural value addition.
Lastly, H.E. Ruzaimi Mohamad, the High Commissioner of Malaysia, expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome in Uganda. Discussions with President Museveni centered on enhancing trade and investment opportunities, especially in the palm oil sector. Malaysia, being the world’s second-largest producer of palm oil, was highlighted as a significant potential partner.
President Museveni’s warm reception of these new ambassadors underscores Uganda’s commitment to fostering strong international relations and promoting foreign investment in various sectors of the economy.
