The National Unity Platform (NUP) has dropped two of its party legislators after a whole misunderstanding that escalated amid the Mpuuga saga.
Among these include the Mityana Woman Mp Joice Baagala who has been dropped from as the chairperson Government Committee at Parliament with immediate effects.
Second is the Kabonera legislator Abed Bwanika who was also dropped by the National Unity platform.
NUP Spokesperson Joel Ssenyonyi revealed that they are not aught to give a reason as to why they went ahead of dropping the dual.
He says “We don’t need to give a reason” adding that, as the parliament comes out to react on this, it clearly shows that these people are protected by the NRM government and by the speaker.
“Again, they do not represent us now as leaders of those committees because we have withdrawn them,” Ssenyonyi remarked.
