Museveni congratulate Cranes on Qualifying for AFCON25

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has extended his warm congratulations to the Uganda Cranes for qualifying for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

The team achieved this milestone after completing their group matches in Congo Brazzaville.

Uganda, placed in Group K, finished second with 13 points. South Africa, popularly known as Bafana Bafana, topped the group with 14 points.

Uganda’s impressive performance included two home victories, two away wins, one home loss, and one draw.

This marks a significant achievement for the Uganda Cranes, who last qualified for AFCON in 2017.

The team’s hard work and determination have paid off, earning them a spot in Africa’s most prestigious football tournament.

President Museveni congratulated Coach Paul Put, the technical staff, and the players for their remarkable effort

“Congratulations to the Uganda Cranes! This is a proud moment for our nation,” he stated.

The qualification brings renewed hope and excitement to Ugandan football fans as the nation prepares to shine on the continental stage once again.

Congratulations to the Uganda Cranes!
