NEC FC Tops the Table
NEC FC secured a crucial victory against SC Villa on Friday, defeating the defending champions 2-1 under the floodlights of MTN Omondi Stadium.
This win propelled NEC to the top of the league table with 22 points, taking advantage of slip-ups by Vipers SC and KCCA FC over the weekend.
Vipers SC and KCCA FC Miss Opportunities
Vipers SC, hosting struggling Kitara FC at home, failed to capitalize on their advantage.
Despite dominating possession and creating numerous chances, the game ended goalless after 90 minutes, leaving Vipers with 21 points, just one behind NEC.
KCCA FC also let their lead slip during their match against Lugazi FC.
Despite leading in the second half, KCCA allowed Lugazi to equalize, and the game ended 1-1. KCCA now sits third on the table with 19 points.
