Tragic Taxi Fire in Jinja: Three Lives Lost, Others Injured.
Jinja-Three people lost their lives, and several others were seriously injured when a taxi they were traveling in caught fire. The tragic event unfolded with startling speed, leaving a trail of destruction and sorrow.
Eyewitnesses reported that the taxi, bearing the registration number UBA 463V, was en route from the Jinja parking lot towards Kampala. What began as a routine journey turned catastrophic when a loud explosion was heard, followed by an intense blaze that engulfed the vehicle.
In a desperate attempt to save those trapped inside, bystanders quickly mobilized, using bottles of water to try and extinguish the flames. Despite their efforts, the fire proved too fierce to control, ultimately overwhelming them and leading to the worst outcome.
The scene was one of chaos and heartbreak, with survivors and witnesses Struggling with the horror of what had happened. Authorities are investigating the cause of the explosion and the subsequent fire, seeking answers to prevent such a tragedy from recurring.
